NODAL THERMODYNAMIC AND DYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF A FREE DISPLACER STIRLING ENGINE

In this study, the dynamic and thermodynamic features of free displacer Stirling engines were investigated by preparing a simulation program. The component program involves movement equations power piston, crankshaft displacer. is nodal analysis based on 24 volumes. study indicates that starting these requires an initial speed required as system natural frequency. While engine running, exhibits some secondary vibrations (named beatings) causes irregularities in its work generation however, it can be minimized changing working parameters such mass, fluid external loading, spring constant etc. For each value charging pressure, different needed. same, mass vary limited range. thermal performance increases decreasing. between 1000 K heater temperature, 356 cooler temperature 18 bar effective efficiency ranges 21 26 %. An with 3.5 liter total inner volume capable generating about 3.9 kW 4.7 indicated power. A strong relation observed phase angle.
